3DS Priced and Dated for North American Release

So just yesterday Nintendo went and had a big ol' party for the 3DS, and from what I heard, it was pretty cool. I don't quite get it though; the 3DS hasn't even been born yet and they're telling us its size, weight, birthdate, salary, and lifespan? I'm starting to think Reggie needs to get out of the sales business and start working as a professional psychic, because he's got a history of getting all of these prenatal prophecies dead on.

Being the powerful wizard that he is, Reggie has informed us that the 3DS will have its umbilical cord cut on March 27 in North America, and it will cost us $250 to take the little bundle of joy home with us.

Also using his incredible powers of foreknowledge, he has unveiled the list of over 30 games coming to the 3DS during its launch window of March 27th-June 7th. If none of those seem to tickle your fancy (sadly OoT3DS, Star Fox 3DS and Kid Icarus aren't to be released in that window, and as my esteemed colleague mentioned, there is no Metroid game announced at the moment), then maybe some of the system's built in ARGs (Alternate Reality Games) will? I'm told they're really fun.

It is also worth noting that GameStop and Amazon are both taking preorders for the newborns right now, so if you're wanting one at launch, your best bet is to haul butt (or mouse) over there ASAP and put your money (or credit card number) on the table (or little box where Amazon wants you to write your credit card number).
