With 33 days left until it's release, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption has already won an award, the award being Best First-Person Shooter for the IGN's Wii Best of E3 2007 Awards. Now before you cry out in mutiny against winning a FPS award, IGN explains: "Prime 3's E3 2007 showing was heavy on gunning and light on the franchise's traditional re-traversal puzzle-solving nature, and for the first time we've been forced to concede that Corruption is, technically, also a shooter." But don't worry, Retro promised us more exploration and puzzles than in previous Metroid games. So no worries there, and congratulations on winning an award already! Also, here locally at MHQ, we're featuring a new fan game, Metroid Nebulus! It looks promising, and real current progress is being made, so I would expect many updates about it in the future! |
