E3 Special and Hints of Wii U Metroid

Lots to bring up today. First of all, with E3 now behind us, we have a special (very short) podcast that features an interview with ebuch, who has had a hand in shaping Metroid Reorchestrated and was on the floor of E3 2011 himself, so be sure and give it a listen!

There's also been a bit of news recently about Metroid coming to the Wii U. Katsuya Eguchi from Nintendo indicated to the folks over at Kotaku that a Metroid for the Wii U is all but assured to come, just that he can't give out any details for the time being. Nonetheless, it's reassuring to know that Nintendo hasn't fully halted all Metroid game development and still consider it an obvious game series to continue. Retro Studios in the mean time is still assisting Nintendo with the development of Mario Kart 3DS.

Aside from that, I thought I'd let you all that I just got back from A-Kon 22 in Dallas, Texas where I got to meet up with Infinity's End from Metroid Database where we got to hang out and do some pretty cool stuff. So that was cool. Also Axion and fly_boy42 were there.
