Today marks the release of the Metroid Prime Trilogy! I will be heading to my local gamestop in a few hours to pick up my copy, as well as grab some extra goodies I got for reserving it (t-shirt and poster). When I get my hands on it I will update this post, and the Prime Trilogy subforum (located here) with pictures a-plenty, and a better over all review. If you have the time you should definitely check out the official Metroid website, for they have had a major site update. There is a really awesome intro video with some game play footage from all three revamped titles, and deeper in the website you can find a video interview with the developers of the Prime Trilogy. One notable thing that is stated near the end of the video: Micheal Kelbaugh, CEO of Retro Studios asks, "Will you ever see Dark Samus or Phazon again? Do you want to see Dark Samus or Phazon again?" Risa Tabata, Assistant Producer of the Prime Series says: "Its up to the fans." What does this mean for the future of the series? We may never know. With Metroid: Other M grabbing the spot for next title to be released, it may be quite some time, if ever, that we see Retro working in the Metroid world, or Dark Samus and Phazon making a comeback. We can all only hope. |

| I would love to see Phazon and Dark Samus again, hopefully in a 2D game? ;) |
