This has been posted a couple of other places, and if you're a Zelda fan you may recall seeing a similar piece of fan art, however LaRoseNoire1989 from deviantArt has created a simply awesome art piece to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Metroid (better late than never). Check out his dA page to see the full size image. You seriously will not regret it. In other news, Shigeru Miyamoto mentioned in an interview with IGN that one of the Nintendo franchises he would like to see taking advantage of everything the Wii U has to offer is Metroid: With Metroid it's very easy to imagine some interesting implementation for Wii U. I think that having another screen with the gyro built in really gives you a lot of interesting opportunities for development, and we can bring a lot of our games to life in a completely unique way with that...I feel like the possibilities of the GamePad for Metroid could be really fantastic. There's certainly a lot that you could do there for that game. Our 2nd Annual MHQthon is fast approaching, and we can't wait to see you all there. Be sure to keep your browser on MHQ! |
