Countdown's up...

I made a mistake. Last year after the anniversary party I deleted the countdown code thinking that I could just find it again next year. That was a BIG mistake. It took me hours to find that code again and get it to work on both the forum and the site, but it's up there now. Enjoy!

New Affiliate

I forgot to mention this in the other updates, but we have a new affiliate, Nintendo Land. It's a pretty well built site, headed by MHQ's own Angry_Sun. Check it out!

Site Work and Anniversary

Over the rest of the summer, some other staff members and I will be trying to improve the site in various ways. During the process you may see a few odd things around the site. Just ignore them and report them only if they stay there for a long time. Also, coming up on the 16th of July is MHQ's 4th Anniversary party (w00t!) Because of complications last year, the celebration will begin at midnight CST instead of 2:55 AM (when the forum was created.) So more people should be able to stick around this time. As usual, there will be a chatroom party leading up to the countdown (in the chatroom, not MSN. *glares at MSN people*) I'll be in there most of the day on the 15th so anytime you wish to drop in, you can. As to exactly what will be announced and revealed at the year's celebration...that will be revealed in due time. I can tell you this: There will be some returns of old things, as well as a revealing of brand new things. So stay tuned!

RSS Feed

For those people you've been around MHQ a while, you've probably noticed the link at the far right of the menu bar (but apparently some of you haven't). That leads to MHQ's RSS Feed. Ever since we made the site, it hasn't worked. But now ladies and gentlemen, it does. I've coded it so that it automatically updates when the site updates are modified. (And I did it all by myself! No help from Shrander! (Though I did steal some of his code that he used in other places on the site...))Anyway, for those who are RSS users, this provision will hopefully be useful for you (since there are soooo many updates.)

Metroid Movie Rumors Resurface

No, I'm not talking about John Woo's attempt. TechShout.com, GameGuru.in, and the Nintendo Fan Alliance all report rumors that Micheal Bay (Transformers), might be in talks with Nintendo to either produce or direct (most likely the former) a Metroid Movie. Fans speculate that the renewed interest in the idea came after seeing the huge success of Iron Man. Apparently, when looking at Bay's schedule, he would theoretically have time to pull off such a film in the next two years.
